Petržalka

Across the Danube from the Old Town, Petržalka is a vast, high-density estate of more than 100,000 people, the largest prefabricated housing complex in Europe. For decades it was the city's affordable dormitory; today it is being reshaped by the Chorvátske rameno green corridor, the historic Sad Janka Kráľa park, the Aupark mall, and above all the new tram line that opened in July 2025, finally giving the estate fast rail access to the centre and ~6 km of new cycle paths.
