Al Rehab City

Al Rehab is one of the original mega-compounds that reshaped how middle-class Cairo lives. Developed by Talaat Moustafa Group, it spans roughly ten million square metres and was planned for some 200,000 residents, with the infrastructure of a small city: malls, schools, a sporting club, an open food court, banks and a landscaped green belt threaded with lakes and parks. The appeal is security and self-sufficiency. Controlled gates, on-site emergency services and managed common areas make it one of the safest and most orderly settings in Greater Cairo, popular with families and professionals who happily trade a central address for space and calm. Service quality can vary between older and newer phases, a normal feature of a compound of this scale. For investors, Al Rehab delivers solid yields and dependable demand, but it sits in an increasingly crowded gated-living market. Newer rivals in Madinaty and the New Administrative Capital create real oversupply pressure on resale and rents, and currency weakness means strong pound-denominated gains do not translate cleanly into dollar returns.
