Majori

Majori is the central and liveliest district of Jurmala, Latvia's famous Baltic Sea resort that stretches along a string of villages between Riga and the Gulf of Riga. Its pedestrianised Jomas Street is the resort's main artery, lined with restaurants, cafes and boutiques, while Turaidas Street leads to the wide white-sand main beach and the historic Dzintari Concert Hall is a short walk east. The district mixes restored wooden Art Nouveau villas, Soviet-era sanatoria and modern apartments. For buyers, Majori offers the resort's most central and rentable location, with strong seasonal holiday demand and proximity to Riga (about 25 minutes by train).
