Puerto de La Libertad

Puerto de La Libertad is the corridor's historic working port and urban anchor, where the government's flagship Malecon (boardwalk) redevelopment transformed the old pier into a modern seafront promenade with restaurants, a fish market, an artificial surf reef, an amphitheatre and the Surf City tourism brand's public face. It blends a genuine fishing-town economy with a fast-growing visitor scene drawing day-trippers from the capital.
