It is quiet, green and unmistakably residential, favoured by artists, academics and families who want village calm at walking distance from downtown. As an investment, Trnovo trades just below the Old Town on price (roughly €5,500–€7,500/m²) but offers a more livable, family-oriented profile. Conservation rules and small plots keep new supply scarce, underpinning 5–7% appreciation, though premium prices mean gross yields are modest at around 3.5–4.5%. It is best viewed as a capital-growth and lifestyle hold, with long-term tenancy the safer income route under the new rental rules.
