About Goodwill

Goodwill is the orderly, planned face of Roseau. Laid out as a housing scheme in the 1950s, its grid runs along Federation Drive and Charles Avenue, giving it a regularity unusual for the hilly Caribbean and making it notably walkable. It is a settled, family-oriented district with schools, shops and the seafront road, all within reach of central Roseau. For investors it is a value, local-rental play rather than a tourism one, with homes priced below Dominica's citizenship-by-investment resort thresholds. The constraints are those of a small island: limited liquidity, reliance on the CBI and tourism economy, and hurricane exposure, underscored by the severe damage of Hurricane Maria in 2017.
