About Sweifieh

Sweifieh is one of West Amman's busiest commercial neighbourhoods, best known for its shopping culture and nightlife. Wakalat Street - Jordan's first pedestrianised retail strip - is lined with international fashion brands such as Zara, Massimo Dutti and Adidas alongside trendy cafes, while the Galleria Mall, Cozmo Centre and Sweifieh's other malls draw shoppers from across the capital. The dining scene is famously varied, from sushi and Spanish to Turkish and gourmet comfort food, and Swefieh Village adds rooftop lounges and lifestyle venues. Residentially, Sweifieh is more attainable than neighbouring Abdoun, with apartments typically running JOD 1,100-1,300 per square metre. Its increasingly commercial character means many flats in mixed-use buildings are bought as offices and clinics, while residential blocks attract families and professionals who value walkable amenities and central access. The blend of mid-range pricing, dense footfall and strong rental demand makes Sweifieh one of the city's more investment-friendly addresses.
