About Gushan

Gushan is where Kaohsiung shows its best face to the sea. The Sizihwan bay, Shoushan's hiking trails and resident macaques, the Former British Consulate and the buzzing Cijin ferry pier give the district a rare mix of beach, mountain and heritage, while National Sun Yat-sen University lends an academic energy to the Hamasen old town. That scenery comes at the city's highest prices, which is why gross yields here sit lowest among Kaohsiung districts at around 2-2.4%. With the southern market cooling about 7% in 2025 and demand leaning on tourism, Gushan is best understood as a prestige, lifestyle and capital-preservation address rather than a cash-flow investment, one where buyers pay for irreplaceable waterfront scarcity.
