Old Jaffa (Yafo) is an ancient Mediterranean port city of stone alleys, historic and mixed Arab-Jewish in character: the reborn Jaffa Port, the Jaffa Flea Market (Shuk HaPishpeshim), the clock tower and the artists' quarter sit alongside top restaurants and a wide spread of housing block to block. For investors, Old Jaffa is a heritage value-add and short-let play: a very wide price range from prime renovated stock near Neve Tzedek (~€18,000–30,000/m²) to older southern Jaffa (~€9,000–11,000/m²), with gross yields of ~3–3.5% and strong gentrification upside, block-level due diligence is essential. Foreigners may buy and register property in their own name; non-residents pay an 8–10% purchase tax, and there is no property-based golden visa.
