About Senglea (L-Isla)

Senglea (L-Isla) is a slender fortified peninsula thrusting into the Grand Harbour, its tip crowned by the Gardjola Gardens and the famous stone vedette carved with an eye and ear, symbols of vigilance. Densely built and tight-knit, it offers some of the most panoramic harbour views in Malta, looking across to Valletta and Birgu, and shares in the Three Cities' marina-led revival. For investors, Senglea is a heritage-and-views play at a discount to the Sliema/Valletta axis, with yields around 4–5% and appreciation as Cottonera regeneration continues. Houses of character and harbour-view townhouses are the opportunity, with restoration the typical value-add. Supply on the small peninsula is tight, and non-residents require an AIP permit outside the SDA regime.
